Wishing it were spring 2008

Hi Everyone —

I am happy and busy working. Sitting at a desk in a room and having conversations with people who don't exist is how books get written. But it doesn't provide for a particularly interesting note to friends.

That's why I am sharing a slide show of some of my favorite photographs with you. In the hope that in the midst of some pretty cold, or at least gloomy, weather — I can give you a mini-vacation. It's not to balmy places, places you associate with umbrella drinks and working on your tan, but it is away. I took most of these pictures around the Monterey Peninsula and along the Big Sur coast. This is my own favorite get-away, and I hope you enjoy a quick visit, too.
